Straightforward desert stoner rock from Spain. While the playing is certainly tight and well played and the songwriting is fine, I have to admit that I personally don't find this a particularly exciting EP. I expect Pura Muerte are a young band trying to hone their skills, but yet to find their identifiable sound. The vocals, while competent, haven't got an edge to them, but that can be developed over time as well. Plenty of potential, the band just need to break the mold they're in.
Favorite track: Zarzaparrilla.
